Egg whites also help reduce calories, fat, and cholesterol, and whole-wheat flour boost fiber. The texture is very much like classic pound cake, especially if Fine Grain Mill flour is used!

Lemony Yogurt Pound Cake


  • Nonstick baking spray, for the coating loaf pan
  • 1 1/2 cups white whole wheat flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon fine salt
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • Finely grated zest of 1 lemon
  • 1/2 cup plain low fat (2-percent) Greek yogurt
  • 1/4 cup low fat (1-percent) milk
  • 1/4 cup extra-virgin olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 2 large egg whites
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 to 2 tablespoons roughly chopped flat-leaf parsley
Making It
  1. Firstly, preparing to warm your oven by setting the Preheat temperature or heating the oven to 350 degrees For about 175 or 180 degrees centigrade.
